One of our favorite appetizers of all time is this Creamy Bacon Crack Dip. And just like the name implies, it is simply addicting!
A delicious combination of melted cream cheese flavored with dry ranch dressing mix, bacon, and cheddar cheese. Then thinned out with a little milk to make it easy to scoop with tortilla chips.
A recipe that is so simple, yet so amazingly delicious.
The Start of Creamy Bacon Crack Dip
About 10 years ago, any appetizer that was over the top delicious inherited the adjective ‘crack’.
There were several versions of crack bread recipes, including our Cheesy Bacon Ranch Pull-Apart Bread recipe.
Then there were crack dip recipes popping up everywhere. And just like the rest of them, this creamy bacon crack dip became a huge hit at every party.
Although the name of the recipe probably isn’t politically correct in today’s terms, there is no harm intended.
It is just so good that you can’t stop eating it.
How To Make Creamy Bacon Crack Dip
And the best part of all is that the dip is made in less than 5 minutes.
Well, that is if you already have your bacon cooked. You could even buy fully cooked bacon if you are in a hurry and want less of a mess.
But once your bacon is ready to go, this bacon crack dip comes together very quickly.
Simply add all of your ingredients in a medium size saucepan and heat it until fully melted.
Over medium heat, it takes less than 5 minutes to blend together.
Then transfer the dip to a serving bowl and the easiest, yet most delicious, appetizer is ready to be served!
This creamy bacon dip is best served with tortilla chips. However, you could also serve it with celery for a low-carb appetizer.
Or you could also serve it with crackers. We prefer to use ranch flavored crackers to compliment the flavors that are found in the bacon crack dip.
And don’t worry, there will be no leftovers that will need to be stored. It’s that good!

- 1 cup cooked bacon, chopped
- 1 8 oz. package cream cheese
- 2 Tbsp Dry Ranch Seasoning Mix
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/3 cup milk
- In a medium saucepan add all the ingredients and heat over medium-high heat until the cheese is melted.
- Add more milk if you want it to be thinner.
Transfer to a serving dish with tortilla chips or sliced veggies.
