If you are looking to save time in the kitchen then you are going to love these 5 Crock Pot Chicken Breast Freezer Meals. They are easy to prepare and the only thing you have to do is pull the bag out of the freezer and then dump the ingredients in a slow cooker.
In just a few hours the chicken will be perfectly cooked and ready to be served. It is a huge time saver for those who don’t have a lot of time to spend making dinner.
Not to mention that these 5 make ahead recipes can also help you save money at the grocery store! And with food prices at an all time high, who couldn’t use that?
How To Save Time & Money Meal Prepping
So how can you save money making freezer meals? It all starts with planning your meals in advance.
1. Less Trips To The Grocery
When you plan meals in advance, you are making less trips to the grocery store. For some that may not seem like a big money saving advantage.
However, when you give it a second thought it really does save you money by making only one trip, not several to the grocery. First, think about the gas that you spend traveling to and from the store.
If you had to go to the grocery each time that you make dinner, the cost can really begin to add up. Then there is the temptation of purchasing those inviting, yet unnecessary items that catch your eye each time you walk down an aisle.
Not to mention there is always the desire to purchase a cup of the fresh brewed coffee in the stores that have a Starbucks inside. However, all of these temptations decrease when you only have to go into the store one time, compared to 5.
2. Save Your Valuable Time
Time is a valuable resource, and one you can’t get back. Instead of making several trips to the grocery or preparing meals every evening you can spend your time in more valuable ways.
This extra time will allow you to spend more quality time with your family. Or how about picking up that extra fitness class that you have always turned down because ‘there isn’t enough time’.
Not to mention now you can enjoy a little time with what you love to do. Take up a hobby, read a chapter in a book, or take a leisurely walk. You now have made time for you!
3. Less Dishes To Do
When you prepare several freezer meals in advance, during one session in the kitchen, you will have less dirty dishes to wash. You are already using the cutting board to cut chicken breast and another one to slice up the vegetables.
Then you can reuse the same bowl to make many of the marinades and sauces that go in the crock pot chicken breast meals. Not only do you save time doing the dishes only one time, you also are saving water and dish soap as well.
So now that you know the benefits of meal planning, let’s get to the ingredients to make the chicken breast freezer meals.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR CROCK POT CHICKEN BREAST FREEZER MEALS
Place all of the ingredients in large releasable plastic bags, in the order listed. *You always want the chicken to be the last ingredient added.
Remove any excess air and then seal the bag. Using a permanent marker, write on the outside of the bag with the name of the recipe and also the date prepared.
Lay the bag flat in the freezer. If freezing multiple bags, freeze each bag in a single layer, then stack them once the contents are frozen. This will help prevent the bags of chicken breast freezer meals from freezing together.
These freezer meals can be stored in the freezer for up to 3 months.
How To Cook The Freezer Meals In The Crock Pot
It is best to semi-thaw the contents overnight in the refrigerator. This will allow the ingredients to be pliable enough so that the contents can be broken apart slightly before they go into the crock pot.
However, they don’t have to be completely thawed. Although don’t worry if you forgot to get a freezer meal out of the freezer the night before you want to cook it in the crock pot. There is another option.
Take the frozen bag out of the freezer and run the sealed bag under warm water in the morning until the ingredients can be manipulated. Then place the ingredients in a 4 quart or larger slow cooker.
Cook Time
Each of the recipes above will require a cook time on LOW power for 6-7 hours or HIGH power for 3-4 hours. However, it is always best to check the chicken for doneness using an Instant Read Digital Thermometer.
Insert the probe into the center of the thickest section of the chicken. It is safe to consume when the internal temperature reads 165°F.
However, it is okay to cook chicken breast to a higher internal temperature when cooked with a sauce inside a slow cooker. When the chicken is ready, cut or shred the meat.
Then place it back in the crock pot and toss it with the sauce. Serve it as is or with rice, pasta, or with your favorite side dish.
To Thicken The Sauce (Optional)
Once the chicken is cooked, determine if you wish to thicken the sauce. If so remove 1/4 cup of the hot liquid from the slow cooker and then whisk in 1/2 tablespoon cornstarch until it dissolved.
Then pour the mixture back into the crock pot and mix until combined. Cook for 10 minutes on High or until the desired thickness has been reached.
Enjoy! Mary
